Financial Aid

school_financialPaying for college can seem like an insurmountable challenge. But, did you know that there are a number of financial resources available only to youth in foster care that can help you? It’s true. When you can get in, there are ways to get it paid.

In fact, the Education and Training Voucher (ETV) program provides assistance to eligible foster youth with education- and training-related expenses. The program is geared for you – to help you as you age out of the system and begin to build a successful future.

There are several scholarships and grant opportunities available only to foster youth as well. And, don’t forget the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This resource provides money to eligible students and families to pay for college.

There is paperwork involved in accessing any ETV, scholarship or FAFSA funds. For help getting through the financial aid process, visit FAFSA online or the admissions office at the college of your choice.

Check out scholarships that are available only to youth in the foster care system. Also, there are many other scholarships available to the general public that you might be eligible to receive.
